Beautiful gremlins

Today’s assignment: write a post that builds on one of the comments you left yesterday. Don’t forget to link to the other blog!

So while browsing through a sea of interesting looking blogs, randomly clicking on a few of them and skimming through pages of written material, one in particular caught my addled brain. It was titled ‘WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM FINN THE HUMAN‘.The author recounts the character sketch of his favourite cartoon persona, Finn (the hero), and recounts the beauty of Finn’s flaws that make him human.

The underlying message is something the all of us, in this world constantly striving towards perfection, tend to forget. Just as it is human to err, it is equally human to be flawed -and that is perfectly fine. As if peer pressure wasn’t enough to rip ones confidence to shreds, with the advent of social media we enter the new age of smiling depression. The pressure of having a picture perfect life is enough to crush one’s entirety into oblivion (hell, even pictures are photo-shopped nowadays – just line the one at the beginning of the post).

Stop! Think! Rather than forcing ourselves to fit the glove acknowledge -it is the glove that needs to fit us, not the other way around.

Having said that, I must say I totally love myself because I am just perfect philosophical like that!
